Gavin Newcomer

I’m an engineer building the future of global finance, currently at Aave.

I was born in Philadelphia and live in Portland, Oregon. I previously worked at Gemini, mostly on their creator marketplace, where fine art met decentralized finance. We built custom experiences for our artists, which put me alongside the likes of Sam Spratt, Daniel Arsham, Murat Pak, and many others.

After Gemini I went to work on Sock. Our mission was to bring the power of decentralized finance to everyday people — not the crypto natives, but the next billion users.

That brings me to Aave, where I’m borrowing from what Sock taught me to put the Aave protocol in everyone’s hands.

This site is an exhibit for all of my passions. Photography is the focus for now, but I’m expanding it into a general-purpose personal portfolio.
